Foodie Life

Some food memories from the last few weeks…

Making the most of the good weather (good by London standards!) with an al fresco lunch at newly opened Cafe Francois in Borough Market. I love this brasserie style food, the steak was excellent.
Gorgonzola Dolce. I love it 🙂
Bottle of Champagne and movies in the suite. Perfect date 🙂
Spontaneous lunch date at my favourite ever Italian restaurant in Soho. Small plates and negroni, so good! Some dates are planned 6 months ahead of time, others are planned 60 minutes ahead of time, it's the spice of life.
Lunch at De Librije, the only 3 Michelin Star restaurant in the Netherlands. Was such a mission getting there, and the dining room is gorgeous. Enjoyed the meal but... a bit underwhelming and wouldn't return.
Favourite ever! I love black cherries and enjoyed the last of the season. Since Brexit a lot of our stone fruit is coming from Chile, which is actually the worlds largest producer of cherries. I like to buy local produce but have to admit these were very good.
Not a glamorous one but just made from what I had in the house, pasta with scallops and sauce made from pesto and mojo (Spanish condiment made from herbs and typical to the Canary Islands). The lady I go to for massages is from the Canaries and she made me a jar of Mojo using her family recipe.
Omg so yummy and decadent! Foie, fatty tuna and golden oscietra caviar. Dinner at a new opening in Mayfair, The Cocochine. Wow! Excellent experience, the Head Chef used to work at Waterside Inn, Le Manoir, and Petrus by Gordon Ramsay. This restaurant will get a Michelin star.
Ordered all the dips on the menu 🙂 Sharing dips is definitely an act of intimacy. Loved this casual experience at Agora, a new opening in Borough (They say it's Greek, but there are Turkish and Mediterranean influences on the menu too)
British Airways allegedly "Business Class" meal. The only thing more embarrassing than this meal was the fact that I ate it haha. Honestly I am so entrenched in this airline and obsessed with collecting the points! Yet they treat us like prisoners. The middle eastern and asian airlines treat you like royalty!
THE PERFECT chocolate souffle at Michelin Star Pavyllon by Yannick Alleno, one of my all time favourite chefs, I am such a big fan of his work. With Armagnac and vanilla ice cream. Yum!
Simple "man food" at Andrew Edmunds in Soho. Sometimes it's all you need. I love this restaurant, they have an excellent wine list, and of course, I could not resist sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Yes I have a sweet tooth 🙂
